Synergy blocks XPadder button remaps

There is a popular button re-mapper called XPadder (which is used for enabling controller input in many games). When Synergy is running in server mode, the re-maps for the buttons stop working, until I terminate the synergyd.exe process. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a work around? Thanks!
