Mouse pushed off client screen

I have set Synergy up and it says it is connected. However when i try to move the mouse to my client display, the mouse goes onto the client display, but is then "Pushed" back to the server monitor. In the Synergy Log it says that it switched and that it also enters and leaves the screen. How do i get the mouse to stay on the client PC. Also the keyboard doesn't seem to work on the client PC, but i don't know if i just need to select something with the server mouse to activate the keyboard.
