No menubar icon in OSX 10.11.3

Running Synergy 1.7.5 as a server, if the config screen is closed, there's no longer a Synergy icon in the menu bar to later allow it to be reopened/foregrounded. I'm sure there used to be one under Yosemite (10.10). Stopping Synergy now requires quitting the two processes via Activity Monitor, or using the command-line. Is this a known bug? thanks David
