Windows 8 & 10 update hostage situation

Synergy works great. Unless of course it would not connect across devices. Windows 8 and 10 in this case. I have found that Synergy WOULD NEVER WORK whenever Windows has an update pending. It seems as if the good folks at Microsoft could come up with an update every day though. The implication of this is that every time Windows has un update on either the server, or on the client pending, Synergy would not work until you have allowed the update. Hence the hostage situation.
