Firefox, Adobe and "general" problems since update

I am running 1.7.6 Pro and currently I am having problems with various Adobe products where the ALT key doesn't work reliably. In Firefox the back and forward buttons on my mouse don't work. And generally I am having problems with the scroll bar working, for instance it won't allow me to drag it down, I have to either use the scroll wheel on the mouse or press the little arrows on the scroll bar. Disabling Synergy returns full functionality. The problems didn't exist in the previous version.
