Server not accepting clients

Hi, I'm having difficulty getting the synergy client (running on Windows 10) to connect to the server (running on Linux Mint 17.2). The client is timing out, however when using Wireshark on the server machine it looks like the SYN packets are arriving on the server but the server is not sending anything back. I also see this message on the server log whenever the client attempts to connect -> [2016-04-26T15:39:40] DEBUG2: can't read property 583 on window 0x03600001 Any suggestions on how to get this up and running would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance !
