Issues with swedish keyboard from W10 to Debian Jessie

Hi! I recently bought Synergy and I have some issues with keyboard layout. I'm running Windows 10 as a server and Debian as a client. On my windows computer I have selected a swedish keyboard, works perfectly. However when I switch to debian it becomes a US keyboard if I have US installed in the keyboard layout settings in KDE. If I set that (debian KDe keyboardl ayout) to Swedish I get a super weird combination where "-" for example gives me a plus (+), hitting Shift + 2 gives me the swedish letter Ä. Whatever combination I use, I just can't get it to use the proper layout. But if I connect to the computer in teamviewer it works perfectly fine with swedish. Any ideas?
