Lock & unlock computers

Hi. I'm using Synergy with 2 pc with 2 screens. Works pretty well... BUT ! I'd like to know how Synergy works when the pc with mouse/keyboard is locked. (Or the other one : the one that use mouse/keyboard from the other) Because I locked it and the keyboard & mouse were not working anymore on both... I had to disable synergy on the 2° computer (thanks to a 2° mouse I plugged into it) to get it back and being able to type the windows password to unlock it. What should I do for locking the computers and being able to unlock them ? I seems a bit confused. Thanks !
