First keystroke lost in client

I have Synergy 1.7.6 on Windows 10 (server) & Windows 8.1 (client), Swiss-German keyboard. Frequently when I move from the server to the client directly to an input field the first character typed gets lost and I have to repeat it. I haven't worked out how to reproduce it yet - I think it occurs after typing in the server then moving to the client. I couldn't find any other posts mentioning this issue, am I alone? John
