dual monitor client issues, server in the middle

im trying to setup my new gaming rig with the monitor between the 2 monitors of my other pc. i bought synergy assuming i could do that and i cant figure it out. 3 hours later here i am. i got the 2 systems connected but the mouse jumps from the left edge of my gaming rig to the right edge of my right screen and then from the left of that all the way over to the left screen... any help would be greatly appreciated. i searched the forum and google to no avail. thanks
