Sierra Server & Yosemite Client terrible mouse scrolling

Hi Folks,

 

This setup was originally an El Capitan (10.11.5) to Yosemite (10.10.5) configuration but I just upgraded the server to 10.12. Now mouse scrolling on the client is pretty much unusable. It stops frequently, and sometimes just scrolls too fast. I was running 1.8.3 on both systems, but upgraded to 1.8.4 after seeing this issue, problem still exists in 1.8.4.

 

Is this a known issue, is it going to be fixed soon?

I have the same problem with v.1.8.5. Replying to see if anybody posts a solution.
