Installation failure on RHEL 7.2

I tried to install the latest RPM on RHEL 7.2 and I got

error: Failed dependencies:
libdns_sd.so.1()(64bit) is needed by synergy-1.8.5-1.x86_64

 

Correct software distribution on Linux is done via Yum (rpm) and APT (deb) repositories, not via files uploaded online which make the update a nightmare.

 

Another alternative is to provide one-liner bash-curl scripts that are installing a software, ideally by just configuring the software repositories and installing the packages using the native package manager.
