Synergy 1.8.7 Mac OS X 10.12.3

Since upgrading to Sierra from El Cap and updating Synergy from 1.7 to 1.8.7 stable, i'm having to quit and restart Synergy after the mac boots up. Normally Synergy would start up when the mac boots and retrieve the IP and connect to clients without fail. Now, i get an error message saying Synergy failed to get IP please type in manually. So i then quit and restart Synergy, which then gets the IP without issue.


Any suggestions?
