Ubuntu 17.04 regression

I upgraded to Ubuntu 17.04 on my synergy server just yesterday and after the upgrade I can no longer share my keyboard and mouse when connecting to my Windows 7 client.

I'm using Synergy 1.8.8 on both computers.

The machines can find each other but soon as I move the mouse to the other screen it automatically leaves the screen again says on my synergy server screen.

 

The exact same setup was working in Ubuntu 16.10 server and the same Windows 7 client.
