'Failed to connect to server'

Posting here as I was told to in the chat.

Using a mac as a server, windows PC as client. I've set up the machines in 'configure server', and entered the bold IP, as per guide.

Just getting 'WARNING: failed to connect to server' in the log.

Your client machine is only connected to the 10.0.0.x network and not with 192.168.2.x network.

Well ok... Both machines are connected to the same network, they both access the same one. Can you explain a bit more what you mean?

Compare each machine's IP address on their Synergy interface. Your server machine has 10.0.0.10 and 192.168.2.68. Your client machine only has 10.0.0.20. Their common network is the 10.0.0.x network. So putting in a manual IP address of 192.168.2.68 wouldn't really work since that client is not connected to the 192.168.2.x network. Try using 10.0.0.10 instead.
