Enquiry regarding drag and drop files, and copy and paste

Hi, just wanna ask, why i can't drag and drop the file between MAC and windows. Isn't it meant to be that way?

Also, why is copy and paste work so dumb... what i thought is just simply click copy at windows, and i can open my mac and paste it. But it turned out that i need to move my cursor to mac in order to process the paste function
