1101011 0
I'm trying to install Synergy on an upgraded Debian 9 machine and am running into errors. Synergy is looking for libssl.so.1.0.0 and libcrypt.so.1.0.0 and the installed libraries are libssl.so.1.0.2 an libcrypto.so.1.0.2. Is there a work around for this problem? 1101011 0
I tried the Synergy_1.9.0~rc3_amd64.deb install but it produces the same error.
Oheim 1
While Debian 9 itself only has an old version of synergy, you can get version 1.8.8 from Debian testing. It runs fine on my Debian 9 system, since Debian 9 is pretty young and the package from testing doesn't introduce new dependencies. Download it here: https://packages.debian.org/buster/synergy
1101011 0
Thanks for the link. I'll reinstall Debian 9 and give that a try.
Andreas Rönnquist 1
I ran into the same problems on a new install of Debian 9 I just made - but I managed to successfully work around the problem by installing the libssl1.0.0 from Jessie on my Stretch system - It seems to work to have both libraries installed side by side. https://packages.debian.org/jessie/libssl1.0.0 I didn't notice the problem on my other machines, since I installed synergy on those before upgrading to Stretch.

VertigoRay 1
Linux Test-DebStretch 4.9.0-6-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.82-1+deb9u3 (2018-03-02) x86_64 GNU/Linux I just downloaded synergy_2.0.9.stable_b1573+4a1bbebe_amd64.deb and attempted to install it. Package Manager complains: Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libssl1.0.0 (>=1.0.0) Maybe you (Synergy Team) should focus on dynamically loading different version of libcrypto.so (from the libssl* packages).
