Synergy 2 services crashes on Windows 7 Professional

I get < synergyd.exe is stopped working > error message when (re)-starting the synergy service on Windows 7 Pro.

The UI application is started and error message were logged:

[ Config ] [2017-09-21T15:17:34] ERROR: failed to start crash handler: Couldn't verify crash dump directory: The system cannot find the file specified

[ Service ] [2017-09-21T15:17:40] error: can't send profile snapshot, not yet received from cloud

Following the Synergy 2 beta4 Troubleshooting did not help me.

Any suggestion?

This will be fixed in beta5, which is due in 4-5 weeks.
