Windows 10 & Ubuntu 16.04 SynergyPro Set up

Recommended Posts

Hello

I purchased Synergy Basic and got that to work fine using my Windows 10 (server) laptop, and my Ubuntu 16.04 (client) laptop.

I then upgraded to Synergy Pro to use SSL Encryption, but that does not work.

When I check "Use SSL encryption" in the "Network Security" section of the "Settings" dialog box, and then restart the server I get the following, and I can no longer switch to the client.

Log messages:

I had this same issue which turned out for me to be a firewall issue.  Try turning off your firewall and see if it will connect.  If it does, then you can add the exception to your firewall and turn it back on.
