Not able to install B5 on OSX10.11.6, limited admin rights

7 posts in this topic

I run my OSX with limited admin rights, and I don't know if that's messing up the install for Beta 5. When I dbl-click the icon, I enter my admin username and password, which it accepts, and then I get nothing, and sometimes I get a crash. The Synergy folder creates in the Applications folder, but it's always empty. B4 installed correctly, it was a drag-drop to the Applications folder.

Thoughts or suggestions for me to try?

Dave

We did plan on adding support for this, but it proved very difficult to support both users with admin-access and users with limited access.

Would you mind sharing some detail on why you have limited access on your macOS computer?

Hello @Nick Sanborn

We are working to find a way out and implement it in Synergy, but at the moment I can not answer you when it will be ready.
