Amen. There's always eggs that break when omelettes are made. From what I've seen, I'd say removing the web dependency would be Job 1, and more control over parameters (like the ability to remove dead nodes) would be Job 2. Regardless, hope your New Year's a great one!
Did you read what I wrote?!? I want you to make a public statement acknowledging the situation to reassure your customers that you are aware of the situation and are working to get them a superior product. jml's post was in line with this, but your post is flat-out disrespectful. The Symless staff has got to be just as frustrated as you are, and I'm sure Nick wasn't being snarky, just practical. The reason it's private, frankly, is because the forum's flooded with folks venting dissatisfaction and it kind of makes it difficult to tease out the support requests. Perhaps we should spin off a separate channel for "What I wish 2.0 would fix already" and leave this one for "I need help with 2.0", but in the meantime, your comments are indeed spot-on and obviously being looked at by the right people.
