Screen spacing?

I don't know how to put this so I haven't been able to search for this. When I go from primary LEFT screen to secondary client RIGHT screen (right next to each other) I loose I guess for lack of a better term, "mouse space". For instance, start on the left move right, go back and forth and eventually your mouse will be all the way to the right of your mouse pad. I don't understand why this is happening and it isn't very fluid.

It is something I do not want to have to go get used to, I am constantly switching between systems, hence the reason for Synergy in the first place.
