IT Troll 22
That is cool as tech demo and great way to promote Synergy. In practice, four monitors and a quad monitor arm would work just as well and avoid the long sync delay. However, the advantage of the single monitor is the ability to also "zoom" to a single desktop.
GranPaSmurf 108
yeah, well...what does that humongous monitor/TV/screen cost? I make do with cast-off/resurrected computers and donated old business dell monitors except for a refurbished Acer 22" wide monitor. I've never bought a computer. Built a few, but mostly I resurrect inherited or hand-me-downs. All that said, this video sure got my imagination percolating. Suppose I have it as my TV in the family room and rigged it to display the machines here in my computer room...with a wireless keyboard & mouse - I'd never have to leave my recliner! Of, course, I'm not sure how long my wife would put up with watching me compute instead of watching her 'shows.'
IT Troll 22
It's not as expensive as you might think; $/£700 So if you are in the market for a TV it might be worth considering. You could always let your wife have one quarter for a TV show.
