Synergy works without program being open

Just as the title says. The last few days when I have booted up both the PC's I use Synergy on, For some reason I no longer even need to open the program on either machine. It's not running in the task manager or anything but yet the short cut that locks the mouse to the computer works and I can move the mouse to the 2nd computer and also use the keyboard on the 2nd computer as well. Any ideas why? Just seems strange

@Whiskey Synergy is running in the background as a service; the UI is only required to configure the application, once set, the UI application is not required.  You can check the Windows Services and look for Synergy; you will find it auto-starts with the OS.
