Mouse movement not working in Ubuntu

Howdy, Love synergy and been using it for a number of years! I recently just built a Windows 10 desktop and installed Ubuntu 14.04 on a macbook air. Windows 10 is the server. Ubuntu macbook air is client. They connect fine, but when I move the mouse over to the ubuntu macbook air, the mouse movement doesn't work. Mouse buttons DO work. Keyboard works! However, without the mouse movement working, I need to use the touchpad to exit Synergy to get my mouse control back on my pc. Has anyone seen this before? I've plugged that mouse into my macbook air and it works without issue, but no luck with synergy. Thanks in advance for any help! Cheers, Tony
